MINUTES:  MARINER HOUSE BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING:  FEBRUARY 15, 2022

A Mariner House Board of Directors meeting was held via telephone conference call on Tuesday, February 15.  All Board members, with the exception of Tammy Rausch, were present. President Bill Hathaway called the meeting to order at 6:02PM.  Tracy Canty also participated.

PROPERTY MANAGER REPORT

  • Covid infections seem to have calmed down, with a decreasing positivity rate.
  • Nantucket is very cold; there is more snow than usual at this time in Winter. Mariner House is quiet.  The recent winter storm did not affect Mariner House.
  • Joseph Guay is still working on an expeditious method of dealing with intervals in foreclosure.
  • Joseph Guay advised that quit-claim deeds are appropriated in ownership transfer of a deceased owner.
  • The Aurora renovation continues to progress, with estimated completion by early April. The sub-floor is in, painting is progressing.  Under-support beams were found to be in bad shape and have been replaced.  No permits were necessary.  Cabinets are scheduled to arrive on March 6.
  • Several intervals are in process of being sold: Essex 19, Barstow 11, 12, 18, and Aurora 5. The Barstow 12 title is held by MH Ltd.
  • Year-end financials had a net income of $ 30,795; $ 15,398 was transferred to the emergency fund. Mariner House is financially stable.

 

OLD BUSINESS

  • A non-binding survey will be sent to owners in regarding interest in selling Mariner House. 75% of owners must be in favor for in order to begin the process.

NEW BUSINESS

There being no new business or items for discussion, Kerric Harvey moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:48 p.m., seconded by Eileen Fox and passed unanimously.  The next Board meeting will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. EST.
